Purchasing Manager
DeLaval Sourcing function manage the strategical purchasing activities with focus on supplying globally into our manufacturing units, distribution centers or direct to our customers.
We are now looking for a key person in our Global Purchasing Organization during the maternity leave of our position holder until Oct 2011.
You will work with a team of Sourcing Managers in Sweden and Brazil to manage our sourcing activities of mainly traded and sourced products within our company.
A good understanding of the business and its need of products are essential to be successful in the position. You will have many contacts within and outside the company why communication skills are a good asset as well. In addition you will support /drive supplier development & supplier selection from a production engineering qualification perspective. This involves driving changes and develop processes, design and supplier base in order to reduce our total cost factor.
Other central tasks and responsibilities are:
- Manage and develop a team of Sourcing Managers to reach set targets
- Coordinate and align our Sourcing work together with our stakeholders and product owners in the company
- Deliver new product introductions in due time to right cost
- Develop our processes and design of products to reduce cost of goods sold
- Support our Sourcing Managers to reduce business risks and consolidation of supplier base.

We believe that you have a commercial background with experience from Agriculture business combined with a purchasing experience. You have probably at least 5 years work experience.
